We Teach Leadership.

Would you like to honor and serve America, the State of Georgia and your local community?  Do you want to prepare for the future while making new friends?  Then rise to the challenge of cadet membership in the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol.

Cadets fly, learn to lead, hike, camp and push themselves to new limits, including regularly scheduled meetings and monthly super activities.  If your goal is a career in aviation, space, or the military, CAP's cadet program may be for you.

Civil Air Patrol Cadets wear CAP Distinctive Air Force-style uniforms (identical to Air Force uniforms with distinctive CAP insignia). Our program gives cadets hands-on leadership experience and education.  The key here is "hands on"!

Our Cadets are provided real opportunities to sample military lifestyles presented to them in many formats ranging from participation in a color guard to going to week-long 'encampments' on military installations.  Other activities include search and rescue exercises, our cadet aircraft orientation ride program, air shows and other opportunities to gain practical experience.

We Recognize Achievement!

We recognize achievement, and provide you with a nationally-recognized, award-winning program for youth, that includes optional parental involvement at all levels.

To become a cadet, you must be aged 12 to 18.  Cadets meet two hours per week (every Tuesday from 7-9 pm) and one Saturday per month, on average.   How much can you achieve?  Become a Civil Air Patrol cadet and find out!
